cbd oil myths

Let’s bust some myths about CBD oil today!
Considering how taboo the cannabis industry has been for decades, it’s no surprise that there is a lot of confusion about it, particularly regarding the innocent component CBD which should never have been villainized in the first place!
Due to the psychoactive effects of THC, which is another cannabinoid in cannabis, CBD often gets a bad reputation too. However, it’s completely different and often provides the opposite effects to THC!

Myth #1: CBD is Addictive

CBD is not only non-addictive but it is being studied for potentially being a treatment for addictions.

Drug addiction defines as a chronically relapsing disorder characterized by the compulsive desire to use drugs and a loss of control over consumption (1). CBD can modulate various neuronal circuits involved in drug addiction. There are, in fact, pre-clinical and clinical, animal and human, studies that suggest CBD may help with opioid, cocaine, and psychostimulant addictions. In addition, some preliminary data suggests that it may be beneficial in cannabis and tobacco addictions, too.

We need more studies before CBD can be used as an intervention for addictions, but one thing is for sure: CBD is non-addictive.

“I love this product but I have to be honest at the beginning I was very nervous to take this coming from a very addictive background and not wanting to go back there I was worried about CBD, I did research and contacted Nadya with a lot of questions (she was so helpful and full of information) and decided to finally try it and was amazed. Myth #2: CBD is Psychoactive

CBD is non-psychoactive and can potentially help counteract the THC effects of feeling high. CBD can also reduce psychotic episodes and help with mental health in general.

Some CBD oil contains THC in various amounts, and that’s when it becomes psychoactive. Make sure to get CBD oil made with CBD crystalline or isolate and that you get it from trusted sources.

Myth #3: CBD Makes You Sleepy and Tired

CBD can make you sleep better and relax, but only when your body needs it. It brings your body into balance so, in the morning, it will help boost your energy, manage anxiety, and improve your focus. In the evening, however, CBD will help you rest and relax after a busy day. CBD works with your natural processes and helps your body regulate them.

Myth #4: CBD Impairs Your Cognitive Functions

Numerous studies show that CBD can help you focus and learn better, as well as improve your memory, attention, and brain function. So, taking CBD to help you work or study will have a positive effect on your productivity.

“I was hesitant trying CBD because I thought it would affect my productivity. On the contrary! The days I take it, I feel calm, focused, concentrated. Importantly i can tackle the hardest tasks head-on and feel good about it. Can’t recommend it enough.”
